The West Liberty-Salem girls soccer team took on Bethel Saturday, with the contest ending in a 1-1 tie.
Kaylee Blair had 35 saves. Jenna Cline had the goal for the Lady Tigers, with the assist by Arianna Weaver.
Indian Lake 8, Northeastern 0
Indian Lake shut out host Northeastern on Saturday.
Olivia Hurley had three goals, and Brylee Buyer had two goals and one assist. Allison Overmeyer had one goal and one assist and Mara Bihn scored once and got two assists.
Hailey Prater scored the other goal, and Brelynn Wisener had one assist.

Indian Lake gets win
Indian Lake opened the season on Saturday with wins over Sidney and Wapakoneta on their home floor.
The Lady Lakers defeated Sidney 19-25, 25-19, 25-17. Cami Bailey had 10 kills, while Kit Miller and Annie Rapp had five each. Riley Ross had 20 digs and Addison Beck made 16.
Indian Lake topped Wapakoneta 25-22 and 25-15. Courtney Altstaetter had six kills and Bailey had seven. Addyson Roby made 23 assists. Ross had 19 digs, Roby 12 and Bailey 12.

Jackson Center 3, Riverside 0
Riverside opened the season on Saturday at Jackson Center in nonleague play.
Jackson Center won 25-14, 25-15 and 25-14. Miah Carman had six kills and five blocks. Molly Carman had five kills. Zoey Ransbottom made 12 assists and Kara Klinger had five.
The junior varsity lost 25-19, 25-15. Addison Shole and Kenzie Stotler had three kills each. Lily Zwiebel had three aces. Ellie Zwiebel made eight assists.

West Liberty-Salem 6, Newton 1
West Liberty-Salem defeated visiting Newton in the season opener on Saturday.
Scoring for WL-S were Lance Campbell with three goals, and Wyatt Longaberger, Elijah Christison and Josiah Thoman with one apiece.
Longaberger had three assists. Christison, Kam Yang and Caleb Ling had one each.
Goalie Tucker Searles had one save.
West Liberty-Salem hosts Fairlawn today at 5:30 p.m.

Ben Logan gets shutout wins
The Raiders hosted an invitational this weekend to open their season.
Ben Logan defeated Jackson Center 6-0 on Saturday in the championship.
They scored three times in each half. Aidan Todd had five goals, and Ben Solano got the other.
Todd became the fourth player in program history to reach 100 points. He is currently third in career goals and second in assists and points.
Landen Simon and Gaven Jordan had two assists each, and Brock Henry made one.
Joe Meeker stopped four shots on goal.
Meeker, Cason Bothel, Simon and Todd were named to the all tournament team.

On Friday, they defeated Fairlawn 16-0, tying the record for goals in a game and setting a record for assists with 14.
Todd set a school record for goals in a game with seven, and tied the record for assists with six. His 20 points sets a record in that category as well.
Luke Vesely had three goals and Jordan scored twice. Landen Simon had three assists.
Getting one goal each were Solano, Xavier Allen, Bothel, and Henry.
Solano had two assists, with one each by Allen, Karson McCoy and Isaac Skidmore.
Meeker made one save and got his first career shutout in net.
Ben Logan is now off until Aug. 25 when they face Graham.

GIRLS GOLF
Riverside competes in tri-match
Riverside faced Minster and Delphi Jefferson in a match on Friday at Arrowhead Golf Course.
Minster had a team score of 184, Jefferson 216 and the Lady Pirates 232.
Reaghan McDaniel carded an even-par 36, tying the school record, and was the match medalist.
Other scores for Riverside were Adalynn Calaway (56), Lei Hurley (63) and Grace Owens (77).
