URBANA — The West Liberty-Salem boys golfers took part in the Champaign County Open on Monday at the Urbana Country Club.
The Tigers had a team score of 356, finishing second to Mechanicsburg (320).
Braydon Thompson finished with an 85, which was seventh overall. He was followed by Brock Burgel (96), Sutton Wilcoxon (87) and Troy Christison (88).
Other scores were Brady Kauffman (104) and Logan Behlmer (119).
Other teams in the field were Urbana, Triad, and Graham.
West Liberty-Salem will host West Jefferson today in a match at Liberty Hills.

Chiefs compete in invitational
Bellefontaine took part in the Bluffton Pirate Invitational at Hidden Creek on Monday.
They had a team score of 364, made up of rounds from Collen Brugler (87), Kyle Boop (88), Noah Smith (93) and Cody Hudson (95).
GIRLS GOLF
Lady Tigers second at invite
West Liberty-Salem finished second out of four teams in the Champaign County invitational on Monday.
The Tigers had a team score of 217, and were led by Geneva Estep, Olivia Reichardt and Taylor Cook.
Graham took first place with a score of 215.
Raiders edged by Gophers
Benjamin Logan lost to Ridgemont in a nonleague match on Friday at Kenton Golf Course.
The Golden Gophers had a team score of 232, and Ben Logan finished with 236.
Catherine Bramlage of the Lady Raiders was the medalist with a score of 48.
Other scores for Ben Logan were Bea Warren 61, Leah Braddock 62 and Kaylynn Crumm with 65.
Also in action were Annika Schmidt (67), Sophia VanVoorhis (71) and Alayna Johnson (81).
Ben Logan will face Indian Lake on Friday at Prairie View Golf Course.
Riverside falls to M-U
Milton-Union defeated Riverside 198 to 251 in a match at Homestead Golf Course on Friday.
Evie DeHus of Milton-Union was the medalist with a 42.
Reaghan McDaniel had the low round for Riverside at 45, She was followed by Adalynn Calaway (63), Lei Hurley (66) and Grace Owen (77).
