Weather closures, delays; Logan under Level 1 (1 p.m. Jan. 26)

Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds downgraded to a Level 1 snow emergency about 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 26.

As of 6 p.m. Monday, Auglaize and Champaign counties are also under a Level 1.

Union County downgraded to a Level 2 at 10 a.m. Monday.

Hardin County, currently on a Level 2 snow emergency, will upgrade to a Level 3 at 6 p.m. Monday. Sheriff Keith Everhart cited drifting snows, deteriorating north-south routes, the onset of dark and extreme cold temperatures as reasons for the upgrade.

Level 1 : Motorists should drive with caution as roads may be icy or have blowing, drifitng snow.
Level 2: Travel is discouraged unless absolutely necessary.*
Level 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency travel, and only essential personnel should be on the roads.*

  • The Masonic Center in Bellefontaine will remain closed all week; bingo is canceled.
