Brenda L. Klinger, 57, of Findlay, was charged with improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle and physical control of a motor vehicle while impaired during a traffic stop Sunday, July 2.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 10:55 p.m. to the area of Prince Road and Township Road 293 in reference to a vehicle parked in the roadway.
When deputies arrived, they observed a car parked in the road and said a woman was sitting in the driver’s seat, with the seat reclined.
Deputies said the driver was identified as Klinger and she advised deputies that she had parked in the road because she was “too impaired to drive home.”
She submitted to field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. She told deputies that there was a firearm in a bag located in the back seat of the vehicle. Deputies said the firearm was located — a 9mm pistol with a loaded magazine.
Klinger was transported to the Logan County Jail, where she refused a breath test. She was lodged on the charges.
