Kenneth J. Wilkinson, 36, of 3978 County Road 21, DeGraff, was served with a warrant for felonious assault and also was charged with resisting arrest during an incident Monday evening, Dec. 4.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded to his residence about 6:35 p.m. in attempt to make contact with Wilkinson.
Deputies spoke with a female party who answered the door, and she told them that Wilkinson was upstairs. In the meantime, deputies said another man approached them and stated that the defendant had just come out of a window and jumped off the roof of the home and went toward a field.
Deputies then went outside in attempt to locate Wilkinson. They also observed that the upstairs window had a broken screen.
Due to the severity of Wilkinson’s charges, deputies requested the Bellefontaine Police Department’s K9 and the Russells Point Police Department’s drone to respond to the scene as well.
A deputy noticed the defendant hiding in bushes at the rear of the residence and drew his service pistol, ordering Wilkinson to come out of the bushes. He complied with the deputies’ commands and was placed under arrest without further incident.
He was transported to the Logan County Jail.
