The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming primary election is approaching, and the Logan County Board of Elections reminds prospective voters of the requirements to cast a proper ballot in the May 2 election.
Monday, April 3, is the deadline to register to vote with the board of elections office. Additionally, anyone who has moved since they last voted, and has not completed change of address documentation must also do so by the voter registration deadline.
Voter registration forms are available Monday through Friday at the Logan County Board of Elections office, 225 S. Main St., between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Voter registration is also available online at www.myohiovote.com.
The following authorized agencies will also accept voter registration forms during regular business hours: Logan County Libraries branch locations (with the Knowlton Library still closed for repairs to water damage); bureau of motor vehicles; departments of job and family services; WIC offices; board of developmental disabilities; county treasurer offices; Logan & Champaign Counties Mental Health, Drug, and Alcohol Services; and the Ohio Secretary of State.
Early voting for the May 2 election begins Tuesday, April 4. Between April 4-21 early voting hours at the board of elections are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Early voting hours are expanded through the evening and weekend between April 24-30.
The deadline to receive absentee ballots is Tuesday, April 25.
