The Logan County Visitors Bureau announced this week the launch of its grant program, offering funding for well-planned, one-time projects that enhance tourism in Logan County.
This initiative is designed to support creative and impactful projects that improve the visitor experience, increase tourism-related revenue, and contribute to the beautification and development of the community.
“We know there are so many great ideas out there, and this grant is an opportunity to help bring some of them across the finish line,” Anna Louden, Logan County Visitors Bureau director, said in a release. “Whether it’s a mural, wayfinding signage, or a larger project that enhances our area’s appeal, we are excited to invest in ideas that make Logan County an even better destination for visitors.”
Grant applications are reviewed twice a year, with the next deadline set for May 14. The second round will occur later in the year with a deadline of Nov. 14.
The grant is open to both community groups, individual businesses, or non-profits, as long as the proposed project is tourism-focused and designed to attract or benefit visitors. Examples of eligible projects include murals and public art installations, beautification efforts, wayfinding signage, business or community signage, and larger-scale initiatives that enhance Logan County’s tourism landscape.
“The grant is open to many different ideas, and we welcome any ideas that impact tourism,” Louden said.
Projects funded through the program should be well-developed, with a strong plan outlining how they will be executed and maintained.
A key focus of the grant is to support efforts that will have a lasting impact on tourism in Logan County. This could mean projects that improve navigation for visitors, create inviting spaces, enhance public art, or contribute to making local attractions more engaging.
“Tourism plays a major role in our local economy, and we want to support projects that not only attract visitors but also leave a lasting impact,” Louden added. “This funding is an investment in making Logan County a more welcoming and engaging place for those who come to experience all we have to offer.”
All submitted applications will be reviewed by the Logan County Visitors Bureau Council.
A detailed project plan, including a timeline, budget, and supporting documents, is required for consideration. Interested applicants are encouraged to think creatively about how their project can enhance the visitor experience and contribute to the overall appeal of Logan County as a destination.
