ADA — A variety of activities are planned for Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Ninth Annual Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival.
It will run from 5 to 11 p.m. in the area around the Depot Park.
Lindsay Hollar, director of the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce, recognized two key sponsors. OhioHealth is the sponsor of the stage and Middlefield and Quest are sponsors of the bands.
Performing will be My Cousin Eddy from 5 to 7 p.m. and Trailer Park Ninjas from 8 to 11 p.m.
Two new contests will be featured at the festival. A Made in Ada Hot Wing Challenge sponsored by Midwest BBQ will be at 7 p.m. during the break between the bands.
Later in the evening there will be a Stein Holding Contest sponsored by the Old Route 69 Brewery.
Wilsons Sporting Goods will be more involved with the event providing more giveaways for the festival raffle. Plus, Wilson’s gift shop will be open from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Hollar said.
ONU football players will take an active role, sitting in the festival dunk tank.
A kids zone will be located in the parking lot at Keith’s Hardware. There will be two bounce houses and Ada cheerleaders will do face painting.
Several food trucks will be on hand as well.
Then, at 10 p.m., the annual football drop will be conducted.
