Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department are advising residents to keep valuables outside of plain view when parking their vehicles in parks or other public places.
Police were dispatched shortly before 5 p.m., Monday, May 15, to Mary Rutan Park on a report of vehicle vandalism and theft.
Rhonda Adams reported that the front passenger window had been shattered and items were missing from her vehicle. Among the taken items were her wallet containing cash, driver’s license and bank cards.
Police are continuing to investigate.
