Hi everyone! Just wanted to give an update on Colt since there have been many posts on social media and some news outlets.

First and foremost, Colt is home and resting. He did not suffer a major injury and we praise God for that.

After catching a pass last night, Colt was hit in a head to head contact. He lost consciousness, probably before he hit the ground. Immediately, the training staff from Urbana and Bellefontaine tended to him. They were so wonderful and we appreciate their attentiveness so much. Since he lost consciousness, protocol was for them to transport him to the hospital and then air flight him to Dayton to the Trauma center. Carleton and I were able to ride to the hospital in the ambulance but had to let him go on the helicopter on his own.

Once we arrived in Dayton (longest ride ever), they had already run the scans and X-rays. All came back clear and they diagnosed him with a concussion.

He has been sleeping well and has pretty much been himself so far today.

We want to thank the training staffs, EMTs, air flight nurses, and doctors and nurses at Miami Valley Hospital. All gave our boy excellent care.

Thank you also to the Urbana and Bellefontaine communities. We believe in the power of prayer and know they made a difference in Colt’s recovery.

Thank you, especially to our football boys and families. We know Colt is so loved and we are so grateful for your calls, texts, and prayers. We think he’s pretty special too. ❤️
