PREVIOUS STORY:
Serious injuries were reported as a result of a head-on crash that occurred shortly before 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 25, in the area of County Road 130 and Township Road 56 in McArthur Township.
Chloe Hodge, 17, of Huntsville, and Briana Mohler, 32, of Lakeview, each sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.
Mohler reportedly was operating a 2000 Ford F150 pickup truck northbound on C.R. 130 around 9:50 a.m. when she traveled left of center and into the path of Hodge, traveling southbound in a 2011 Honda CR-Z.
Mohler was later taken to Riverside Methodist Hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Hodge was transferred to Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus. She is listed in critical condition.
Mohler was cited for left-of-center. Deputies suspect she may have been driving impaired or under the influence at the time of the crash.
The pickup truck was disabled in the southbound lane of travel. The Honda was forced backward as a result of the impact and came to rest on the west side of the road in a driveway.
Damage to both vehicles was disabling. The crash closed the road Thursday for over three hours.
