Dominique Lanham, 30, at-large, was jailed on charges including persistent disorderly conduct and assault as a result of his reportedly unruly, violent behavior observed by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, in the area of south Detroit Street and west Columbus Avenue.
Officers on patrol observed the suspect being held back by another male. Lanham had reportedly been called a racial slur and was attempting to fight.
He refused to calm down and cooperate with law enforcement and had to be forcibly restrained at one point against a parked car.
After multiple efforts to get him to calm down, Lanham was arrested and charged with persistent disorderly conduct and transported to the Logan County Jail.
At the jail, he continued to be argumentative and confrontational and had to be placed into a restraint chair.
As jail staff attempted to place him in a restraint chair, he reportedly kicked a member of jail staff and was additionally charged with assault.
