Six Hundred Downtown owner Brittany Saxton, United Way of Logan County’s campaign chair, reveals Wednesday, Oct. 25, that the 2023 Campaign has surpassed the $600,000 mark at the organization’s thermometer on the Logan County Courthouse lawn. Officials report the campaign is ahead of last year’s pace in hopes of raising $1 million or more for the sixth straight year. More than 1,400 local residents, employees, and businesses have already contributed this year, Executive Director Dave Bezusko said. The United Way reports that agency requests for 2024 also are 29 percent higher than what was awarded in 2023.
