Troopers of the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol seized about 2.5 ounces of ketamine during an early Tuesday, Sept. 17 traffic stop conducted on a stranded motorist on U.S. Route 33 near County Road 10.
The driver, Christopher Slosser, 33, of Reynoldsburg, exhibited a high level of impairment during the stop about 3 a.m. and participated in field sobriety testing. He was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
A Ziploc bag containing a white crystal substance, a dollar bill, and a $10 bill, each containing a white substance was seized during an administrative inventory of the vehicle.
Slosser told troopers the crystal substance was ketamine he had purchased in Findlay prior to the stop.
A drug recognition expert from the Bellefontaine Police Department conducted an evaluation of the crystal substance and confirmed it was ketamine.
Slosser also was charged with possession of a Schedule III substance, a third-degree felony and drug paraphernalia, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
