Second-seeded Preble Shawnee jumped out to a double-digit lead after one quarter and did not look back to upend 12th-seeded West Liberty-Salem 66-39 in a Division III sectional semifinal boys basketball game Thursday at Northmont High School.
The Tigers end their season with a record of 13-11. Preble Shawnee is now 20-3.
The Arrows led 20-8 after one quarter of play. They held a 15-point cushion (33-18) at halftime.
Preble Shawnee pushed its lead to 51-29 after three quarters.
Matt Jones paced the Tigers with 10 points. Taran Logwood had eight points and Carson Poppe added seven points.
Mason Shrout led the Arrows with a game-high 24 points.
Preble Shawnee will play Versailles in the sectional final today at Northmont.
