Riverside Elementary third-graders recently took their “Destination America” music program to Logan Acres Care Center and Campbell Place in Bellefontaine, and to Green Hills Community in West Liberty. They sang for the residents and staff, presenting the program that featured the cities around the U.S. that influenced music history. Their songs featured Detroit, the home of Motown; Nashville, the home of country music; Cleveland, home of the Rock & Foll Hall of Fame; and New York City, home of the Broadway musical. Following their performances, the students were able to visit with residents and spent time learning about math and maps throughout the day on their way around Logan County. (RIVERSIDE SCHOOLS PHOTO)
