Teen transported from Huntsville crash

MyKaleigh R. Grace, 19, of London, Ohio, was transported by Huntsville EMS to Mary Rutan Hospital for treatment of suspected serious injuries sustained in a crash Tuesday, Aug. 22.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report she was operating a southbound 2013 Nissan Altima in the 6300 block of Lima Street in Huntsville about 5 p.m. when she struck the rear of a southbound 2020 GMC Canyon operated by James J. Washburn, 23, of Liberty Township, that was stopped in traffic.

Washburn did not report any injuries.

Damage was heavy to Grace’s vehicle, which was towed from the scene, and moderate to the Washburn vehicle.

The drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Grace was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance ahead.

• Jacquecin Joseph, 39, of Springfield, was cited for failure to yield the right of way when turning left following to a non-injury crash Monday afternoon, Aug. 23.

Deputies report Joseph was operating an eastbound 2006 Honda Pilot on Green Street in Middleburg about 3:30 p.m. when he made a left turn onto Columbus Street.

His vehicle struck a westbound 2009 Ford F-150 operated by Ami L. Cooksey, 56, of Zanesfield. Damage was heavy to both vehicles, which were towed from the scene. The drivers were wearing their seat belts.
