Dennis L. Slaven, 18, of Marysville, was transported by private vehicle to Memorial Hospital in Marysville for treatment of suspected minor injuries sustained in a crash early Saturday morning, Feb. 25.
Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report he was operating an eastbound 1999 Chevrolet Silverado about 1 a.m. in the 8700 block of County Road 2.
He reportedly lost control on a curve and went off the right side of the road, striking a ditch and overturning. The pickup then struck a tree, causing heavy damage to the vehicle.
The driver was wearing his seat belt and Slaven was cited for failure to control.
• Liam C. Corcoran, 16, of Huntsville, did not report any injuries in a rollover crash about 5:40 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23.
Deputies report he was operating a westbound 2010 Honda Pilot on State Route 274 near Township Road 94 when another vehicle went left of center, forcing him to take evasive action.
Liam reportedly drove left of center and off the left side of the road, striking a utility pole and overturning.
Damage was heavy to the sport utility vehicle, which was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for failure to control.
• Robert T. James, 33, of West Liberty, was cited for failure to control related to a non-injury crash early Sunday morning, Feb. 26.
Deputies report he was operating a southbound 1998 Ford F-150 on Township Road 187 approaching County Road 30 about 3 a.m. His vehicle then went off the left side of the road into the ditch, and then drove across C.R. 30, into a field, where it struck several boulders and came to a rest.
Damage was heavy to the pickup, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing his seat belt.
