Teddy Grant Long, 85, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center in Lakeview, Ohio.
He was born in Logansville, Ohio on November 5, 1939, a son of the late Edwin Elmer Grant Long and Catherine Alice (Briscoe) Long.
On June 29, 1968, Teddy married Sarah Ann (Fawcett) Long in Bellefontaine, Ohio and she survives, along with their daughter, Lisa Ann Sanders of Oklahoma; two grandsons, James Grant Organ, and Cody Lee Tryon, both of Oklahoma; close family friend, Luanne Leininger of Bellefontaine; a niece, Beth (Earl) Clark of Texas; a nephew, John (Laura) Fawcett of Michigan; and numerous cousins.
A 1957 graduate of Quincy High School, Teddy had worked as a machinist at Rockwell before retiring from Honda Transmission following over 40 years of combined employment. He and his wife also owned and operated Long’s Greenhouse and Daylilies for over 30 years. Teddy spent much of his leisure time at the bowling alley, rolling two 700 series and two 300 games during his bowling career.
A graveside service will be held in Greenwood-Union Cemetery in DeGraff, Ohio at a later date.
