Thomas Bray, 50, of Tipp City, was charged with domestic violence following an altercation with a family member reported around 9:30 p.m., Sunday, July 7, at an East Liberty area residence, deputies from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office report.

Law enforcement was dispatched to a residence on Foundry Street in reference to an altercation between Bray and his brother-in-law.

The argument reportedly began when Bray accused the victim of having stolen money from his mother. The victim and his wife denied stealing money and the altercation escalated.
Bray reportedly threatened the suspect right before shoving him to the ground and causing scratches to his back and face.

As deputies spoke with Bray, he became increasingly agitated and less cooperative. Deputies advised Bray they believed he was the aggressor and stated that one of the men would need to leave the residence for the night.

Bray became visibly upset and told deputies to take him to jail while shouting profanities at them. Deputies attempted to detain Bray, but he tensed up and tried to pull away. Bray also attempted to put a sheriff’s deputy in a head lock and was taken to the ground and arrested at that time.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
