Randall Lowrance, 37, of Bellefontaine, was shortly after 9 p.m., Saturday, June 10, on a parole violation and multiple new charges following a foot pursuit with officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department in the 300 block of Walker Street.
Officers on patrol observed Lowrance walking in that area and were aware he was wanted on a warrant for violating his parole.
When he noticed police, Lowrance reportedly attempted to conceal his face and look the other direction. Officers attempted a stop with the suspect, but he attempted to flee on foot. He was eventually caught and brought to the ground near Walnut Street.
Police report Lowrance was extremely paranoid and admitted to having used methamphetamine earlier in the day. He accused officers of putting “nanobots” on him in order to track him.
Lowrance was lodged on the parole violation, and was charged additionally with resisting arrest and obstructing official business and was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
