Sherry Sindledecker, 45, of Lima, was issued a summons for theft related to an incident Monday, March 27, at the J and S Party Dock, 8019 State Route 366, Russells Point.
Officers of the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched about 6:25 p.m. to the business on a report of the theft of a nicotine vape pen.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that Sindledecker entered the business and purchased a few items.
As the clerk was ringing up her purchases, the defendant reportedly placed a nicotine vape pen in her pocket and left the store without paying for it.
Sindledecker was later located at a nearby residence. She initially denied stealing anything, but after finding out she was captured on video, she admitted to the theft. She was also trespassed from the business.
