Skip into spring as Downtown Bellefontaine offers two Easter Eggstravaganzas for 2025

The Easter Bunny is returning to Bellefontaine … and he’s bringing all kinds of fun for kids and adults as Downtown Bellefontaine presents the 2025 Easter Eggstravaganza on Saturday, April 12, and Eggstravaganza After Dark on Thursday, April 17.

This year’s spring-filled family day on April 12 goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. As in previous years, the event offers plenty of free activities, including arts & crafts and yard games. Main Squeeze will provide concessions, with the proceeds going to downtown Bellefontaine.

Community Health and Wellness will be on-hand with interactive games, and the Logan County Health Department will give children a chance to plant their own carrot, which they can then take home to watch it grow.

But there’s an option for next-level entertainment with the purchase of a $10 passport. Available online through Eventbrite or at the Logan County Chamber of Commerce office on South Main Street, Bellefontaine, the passport gives you the option to hippity-hop down a special Bunny Trail with about 20 stops.

Each participant will receive a basket to collect their tasty treats and prizes. Photos with the Easter Bunny at The Photo Booth photography studio (137 S. Main Street) can be added for an extra $10 ($15 at the door).

“It’s going to be a great Eggstravaganza this year with lots of fun, interactive free stuff,” Maddie Stotler, downtown event coordinator, said. “And it’s later in April so, hopefully, we’ll have more spring-like weather.”

Check-in starts at Prescription Bliss at 111 W. Columbus Avenue, which is this year’s sponsor. Part of that street will be closed for the event.

Eggstravaganza After Dark

Adults 21 and older who are looking for some Easter-inspired entertainment are invited to a different kind of egg hunt on Thursday, April 17, from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets for the festive night give participants a chance to collect eggs filled with treats, prizes, exclusive deals and raffle tickets as they visit downtown businesses.

Participants can also attend a spring-themed mixology class, where they will create their own cocktail or mocktail. These sessions run from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

And an award will be given for the most “Eggxcellent Dressed” attendee.

“Who says Easter egg hunts are just for kids?” Stotler asked. This is the perfect way to savor a spring evening with friends and explore downtown businesses while sipping on a custom-crafted beverage.

Secure your spot by purchasing tickets, which cost $35 each and are selling fast, at Eventbrite.com. Check-in will take place at Bella Vino, 112 S. Main Street, suite 2, beginning at 5 p.m.
