A Lakeview man was cited Sunday evening, Feb. 8, following a reported domestic violence incident at a residence on Ash Street in the village.
According to a report from the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched about 6:42 p.m. to the home on a report of an active domestic situation. Deputies identified the suspect as 50-year-old William R. Keller.
The report states Keller allegedly struck the victim during an argument, causing visible redness to the right side of her face. A third-party witness reported observing the incident during a FaceTime call with the victim and later provided deputies with video evidence of the encounter.
Deputies made contact with Keller at the scene and noted he appeared intoxicated. Keller was placed in handcuffs and transported to the Logan County Jail, where he was later released on a summons in lieu of arrest for domestic violence.
He was instructed to have no further contact with the victim.
