Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, to a report of a semi tractor-trailer that overturned in the 9500 block of County Road 97.
Mitchell R. Thompson, 30, of Rushsylvania, reportedly was operating a northbound semi on C.R. 97 when the semi went off the right side of the road and into the ditch and overturned.
Damage was heavy to the semi, which was towed from the scene. The driver was wearing his seat belt and no citations were listed with the crash report.
• Deputies also responded to a three-vehicle crash about 2:15 p.m. Thursday, May 11, in the area of State Route 347 and the U.S. Route 33 entrance ramp.
Justin S. Hacker, 23, of Columbus, reportedly was operating an eastbound 2019 Hyundai Kona on the U.S. 33 entrance ramp and struck the rear of an eastbound 2011 Honda CR-V operated by Kenneth A. Green, 60, of Columbus,
Hacker’s vehicle also struck a Griffin Paving Striping Inc. truck stopped on the left side of the road operated by Ryan L. O’Neil, 36, of London, Ohio.
Hacker’s vehicle then went off the right side of the road, striking a guardrail.
Damage was heavy to the Hacker vehicle and moderate to the Green vehicle. Damage was unknown to the paving truck.
