The Lakeview Business Group is pleased to bring back the annual Christmas in the Village event to the downtown Lakeview area for all residents and visitors of Indian Lake to enjoy.

The holiday event is the first Saturday in December from 8 a.m. to noon, but this year with a twist! Thursday, Nov. 30, will feature an evening parade with a Whoville theme that will be packed with sweet treats to see and enjoy.

Thursday night will be complete with lights, music and Santa Claus visits at the North Pole immediately following the tree-lighting ceremony.

Rain, shine, colder temps or snow, the main event will happen Saturday, Dec. 2, around the Village of Lakeview, with activities inside and outdoors and the parade on Nov. 30. The events are free to attend, safe and family-friendly.

Start Saturday morning off at the Amvets Post 39 with Breakfast with Santa from 8 to 9:30 a.m., where kids eat free. Then, enjoy walking the streets of Lakeview to play a free, family-fun scavenger hunt that can earn participants entries into the big giveaway toy drawing at the Lakeview Fire Department at noon, where you must be present to win.

Santa Claus comes back to town Saturday at 10 a.m., where you can visit with him at the North Pole until 11:30 a.m.

Downtown Lakeview will offer several food truck options Thursday evening, holiday music both days, and a real live petting zoo with free pony rides on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

The goal is to share the spirit of Christmas and the winter holiday with more folks in the area as a thank you from our local businesses for supporting the Lakeview Business Group all year long.

Also, remember to visit Santa’s Workshop at the Young at Heart Building from from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 30, and Friday, Dec. 1, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 2, where kiddos can shop for loved ones and get their items gift wrapped and ready for the tree.

The Lakeview Business Group appreciates all the support and looks forward to the 2024 season. For a complete listing of details to each event, follow the Downtown Lakeview Facebook page at www.facebook.com/downtownlakeviewohio.
