Ronnie Edward Cooper

Ronnie Edward Cooper, age 76, of Monroe, passed away on June 3, 2024. He was born in Morehead, Kentucky, on April 22, 1948, the son of the late Otis and Mary  Cooper.

He was preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Charles and Ethel Staffan; brother-in-law, David Ball; and his sister-in-law, Joanne Cooper.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife of  39 years, Brenda Cooper; son, Gregory Cooper; granddaughter, Leleigh; siblings, Shirley Ball, Janet Weissinger, Eddie (Becky) Cooper and Kenny Cooper; and many other loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Ronnie’s education was something he held very dear and obtained 6 different degrees throughout his life. He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army as a Captain and also was previously with the ROTC program, where he graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant. Ronnie  retired from WPAFB, where he was a Cost Analyst. 

He started a non-profit Biblical Creation Science Ministry called The Ark Foundation of Dayton. 

In his free time, he enjoyed playing and watching basketball, playing Chess, reading books, attending concerts,  and was very technologically savvy. 

Ronnie loved to help those he knew and loved in a variety of ways, all they had to do was ask. In his younger years, he was also very involved with scouting, attaining the rank of Eagle Scout and received the God & Country Medal. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, June 10, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, where funeral services will begin at 1 p.m., with Aaron Levering officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, New Carlisle.
