Ronald W. Drake, 71, of Marysville and formerly of West Mansfield, passed away Monday, December 30, 2024 at his residence following several years of failing health.
A 1971 graduate of Benjamin Logan High School, he went on to work at Westinghouse and Harding’s in Bellefontaine, as a cashier with Kroger and most recently as an associate at The Shoe Dept. in Marysville. He was a member of the West Mansfield United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading, fishing, word searches, watching the old westerns and old T.V. shows, and attending the sporting events of his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Born July 20, 1953 in Bellefontaine, he was the son of the late Thomas and Helen (Parker) Drake. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a nephew.
Ronald is survived by his sisters, Jacqulyn (Ernie) Parks of Middleburg and Mona (Dean) Grimes of Clarksville, TN; a brother, David (Debbie) Drake of Bellefontaine; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate Ronald’s life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at the Wilson Funeral Home, Schnurrenberger Chapel 222 W. Center St. West Mansfield. Pastor Carolyn Christman will officiate and burial will follow at the Harper Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
