Visiting Anna prevailed over West Liberty-Salem 38-35 in a non-league girls basketball game Monday night.
The loss sends the Tigers to 11-7 on the season. The Rockets are now 9-6.
It was a tightly played game throughout.
The Rockets held a two-point lead (10-8) after one quarter and they led by four (24-20) at halftime.
The Tigers trailed by two points (34-32) after three quarters.
Anna was able to hang on down the stretch to get the win.
Megan Hollar paced the Tigers with 13 points. Chaley Wade contributed seven points and Ava Astorino had six points.
In the junior varsity game, Anna won 35-25. Laila Butler led the Tigers with 16 points.
WL-S is back in action Thursday at home against West Jefferson.
