Students in the Benjamin Logan High School Robotics Club showcased their talent at the National Robotics Challenge April 4, and this week, are prepping for a community event to share their skills with the community.
The BLHS Robotics Open House takes place from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, at Benjamin Logan High School. Enter through the ag lot near door 14
Attendees will learn about programming, building, and driving robots; participate in hands-on activities; and meet current robotics team members.
Snacks and door prizes will be offered, including STEM kits!
At the National Robotics Challenge, members Haley Bradley and Kade Smith tested their programming skills by navigating robots through a complex maze.
Gabe Elsasser and Utah Coleman demonstrated their engineering expertise in the combat robotics competition, where both of their robots won multiple matches before being eliminated late in the day.
The National Robotics Challenge is a premier event where students from elementary through college levels build and program robots to solve real-world problems. With a variety of open-ended challenges, the NRC encourages creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills beyond the classroom.
