Riverside senior golfer Reaghan McDaniel has signed her letter of intent to continue her golf career at North Greenville University in Tigerville, S.C., following a career that redefined the Lady Pirates’ record book.

North Greenville is a Division II program competing in Conference Carolinas. Reaghan will be coached by Bud Tate and plans to major in Accounting and Finance.

Reaghan completed her Riverside High School career by establishing the program standard in scoring consistency and efficiency. She set the school’s nine-hole record with a 35 (-1), first accomplished Sept. 15, 2025, and matched again Sept. 18, 2025, both at Cherokee Hills. The rounds made her the first girls golfer in program history to shoot under par in a nine-hole match.

She also set Riverside’s 18-hole scoring record with a 75 (+3) at the Three Rivers Conference Tournament on Sept. 18, 2025, and closed her senior season with a school-record 38.5 nine-hole scoring average, the lowest in program history. Her performance placed her atop the season-average leaderboard for four consecutive seasons, steadily improving each year.

Reaghan’s impact extended beyond individual scoring. She was part of Riverside’s record-setting team season in 2023 and consistently served as the Lady Pirates’ low scorer in both conference and non-conference competition.

In Three Rivers Conference play, Reaghan was named Player of the Year all four seasons from 2022–25. She earned first-team all-conference honors each year, was a four-time conference tournament medalist, and received TRC Academic honors in all four seasons.

At the postseason level, Reaghan qualified for district competition four times. She finished 12th in 2022, tied for second in 2023 before falling in a sudden-death playoff for a state berth, placed 12th again in 2024, and finished ninth in 2025. At the sectional level, she tied for first in 2022, placed second in 2023, won the sectional title in 2024, and finished second in 2025.

Reaghan, daughter of Amy and Jason McDaniel, said she chose North Greenville because when she went for her visit, “it felt like home and everyone was amazing.”

Looking ahead to college, Reaghan said her goals are to “grow to be a leader on the team while keeping my grades high in the classroom.” She said the personal attributes that will help her succeed at the next level are that “I never quit and I always push myself to be the best version of me.”

Playing college golf has long been a goal for Reaghan, who said, “I expect to play with high level golfers that push me to get better.”
