Riverside boys fall to Botkins 61-46

Riverside’s boys basketball team dropped a non-league game to visiting Botkins 61-46 on Tuesday.

The Pirates fall to 4-6 on the season. The Trojans are now 3-4.

Botkins jumped out to a 15-10 lead after one quarter and the Trojans led 27-19 at halftime.

Botkins increased its lead to 10 points (43-33) after three periods.

Kaleb Schindewolf led the Pirates with 15 points and three rebounds. Ayden Clary had nine points and three rebounds and Warren Shockey and Walker Whitaker each had five points.

Carter Pleiman scored a game-high 25 points to lead Botkins.

In the junior varsity game, Riverside fell 62-32. Brice Kauffman led the Pirates with 11 points.

Riverside’s freshman team fell 44-27. Cam Shoe had 11 points and three steals and Blaine Shoe had nine points and seven rebounds for the Pirates.

Riverside is back in action Friday at home against Covington.
