Ricky D. Newmeyer, 62, of Bellefontaine, Ohio passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born in Ashland, Ohio on December 25, 1960, to Stanley and Patsy (Shepherd) Newmeyer who both survive.

He is also survived by his fiancé, Phyllis Huffman; sons: Derek Newmeyer and Colton Newmeyer; granddaughter, Calla Newmeyer; brother, Scott (Tonya) Newmeyer; sisters: Melissa (Patrick) Hazlet and Mia Newmeyer; many nieces and nephews; and special friends: Susie and Brent Comer, Nicole Fulkerson, Nathan Harbor, Megan Buck-Lopez, and London Lopez. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Rosie Newmeyer and brother, Rob Newmeyer.

Ricky had a giving heart and was very devoted to the love of his life, Phyllis and to his friends. He was a hard worker who worked at Honda for 30 plus years where he made many friends and memories. He had a love for racing and was a racecar driver with Nostalgia Super Stock Bash.

Pastor David Kiper will officiate a funeral service at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Visitation will be two hours prior from 3 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
