Richard L. “Dick” Collum, 76, of Bellefontaine, passed away at 3:27 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at the Kobacker House in Columbus. He was born in Belle Center, Ohio on February 19, 1947, to the late James E. and Betty B. (Henry) Collum.

On March 24, 2001, he married Kimberly (Ward) Collum, and she survives.

He is also survived by his sons’ Lance E. (Jenny) Collum and Brent R. (Amber) Collum; his daughter, Samantha Stephens; sisters, Nancy Sue LeVan, and Kimberly Kay Reames; and several nieces and nephews.

Dick was a 1965 graduate of Belle Center High School and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He started Riverside Doors and Hardware in Piqua in 1989 and in 2016 turned it over to his son, Lance, to continue the legacy. Dick enjoyed working in his yard and running his business. He was considered a workaholic by many. Dick was a loving husband, father, and brother that will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be Monday, November 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 321 N. Main Street, Bellefontaine. Rev. Dr. David Moreland will officiate a memorial service, beginning at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at the funeral home with military honors. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kobacker House, 800 McConnell Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43214, or Lutheran Community Services, 820 W. Sandusky Ave. Bellefontaine, Ohio 43311.
