A Bellefontaine resident with a prior conviction for child exploitation has been arrested again following an investigation by the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives took Donald J. Wilson, 81, into custody on Tuesday, Oct. 28, after uncovering evidence that he had downloaded multiple files of confirmed child sexual abuse material from the internet.

According to detectives, a search warrant was executed at Wilson’s home, where investigators found additional evidence related to the case.

Wilson, who was previously convicted of pandering obscenity involving a minor in 1991, is now facing 20 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor (creating) and 13 counts of pandering obscenity involving a minor (possession).

He was lodged in the Logan County Jail, and officials said additional charges are expected as the investigation continues.
