Dominic Rockwell, 20, of Anna, was charged with menacing following a confrontation with residents in the 100 block of north Elm Street that occurred shortly after 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 1.
Officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department were dispatched to that location on a report of a fight between two males.
Upon their arrival, they learned that Rockwell reportedly was driving erratically and attempting burnouts with his vehicle in the area and that residents along the block had yelled from their sidewalks at him about it.
One such confrontation reportedly became heated after Rockwell reportedly stopped his car in the street, put it in reverse and confronted the man. The defendant threatened to shoot the man in the back and said he didn’t care about children in that area, according to multiple witness statements.
Rockwell was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
