Joshua Green, 31, of Lewistown, was arrested around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, June 18, on a number of drug-related charges following a traffic stop executed by officers of the Bellefontaine Police Department in the parking lot of McDonald’s, 1127 N. Main St.

Officers were dispatched to the north end of town on a report of a vehicle driving recklessly and nearly causing a head-on collision near U.S. routes 33 and 68.

While making their way to search for the reckless motorist, officers observed a vehicle matching the description in the parking lot of the fast food restaurant.

Upon making contact with the suspect, an open container of alcohol was observed and that gave officers probable cause to search the vehicle. Inside the car, officers recovered suspected marijuana and cocaine.

Green was transported to the Logan County Jail, and during the intake process, additional suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were located inside of his shoe and socks. Jail staff found a concealed glass pipe and suspected methamphetamine.

Green was charged with illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
