Rebecca “Becky” Conception Cruz, 55, of Bellefontaine, passed away unexpectedly at 8:16 a.m. on Sunday, December 22, 2024, at her home.
She was born on the Virginia Beach Military Base on August 10, 1969, to the late Juan A. Cruz I and Sandra J. (Mathison) Cruz, who survives in Zanesfield.
Becky is also survived by her husband, Curtis “Mike” Black of 19 years, as well as three daughters, Sandra “Shelly” Keykens of Zanesfield, Sasha Beair of Bellefontaine, and Shirley “Niki” Hayman of Lakeview; numerous grandchildren; sister, Lisa Fultz; brother, David Hemker; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
Along with her father, Becky was also preceded in death by her sister, Deborah Cruz Mathison; and brother, Juan Cruz II.
Becky was known as the life of the party of the brightest light, making friends wherever she went. She enjoyed crystal collecting, gardening, kayaking, and Harley rides. Becky loved the outdoors and adventures. She spent most of her time with her daughters, spouse, and grandchildren. Christmas was Becky’s favorite holiday, and she will be deeply missed this Christmas by all who knew and loved her.
Honoring Becky’s wishes, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by the family.
