Raiders pull away from Chiefs for 31-18 win

Visiting Benjamin Logan won a defensive battle against Bellefontaine on Wednesday, pulling away for a 31-18 victory in a local girls basketball matchup.

The Raiders improve to 5-1, while the Chiefs drop to 1-3.

A very low scoring first half saw Ben Logan lead 7-3 after one quarter and 11- 7 at halftime.

Ben Logan held a five-point cushion (19-14) after three quarters. The Raiders outscored Bellefontaine 12-4 in the final period to put the game away.

Rylan Norviel scored a game-high 14 points to lead the Raiders. Georgia Bates had seven points and Mia Stahler had five points.

Lexi Robinson paced the Chiefs with 11 points and Alexza Clifton had four points.

In the junior varsity game, Ben Logan won 29-23.

Both teams are back in action Saturday. The Chiefs play at Tecumseh and the Raiders travel to North Union.
