Bellefontaine and Benjamin Logan’s bowling teams met in Central Buckeye Conference contests at T-P Lanes on Wednesday afternoon, with the squads taking one match each. The Raiders boys won with 2,871 pins to 2,705 for the Chieftains.
Ben Logan was led by Landon Stoodt with a 454 series (225-229), Dylan Stewart at 439 (202-237) and Caleb Knight 421 (189-232). Jarrett Buckenroth had a 385 series (215-170). Nate Davis had a 177 first game and Wyatt LeVan got 156 in the second game.
Bellefontaine’s top score was by Rory Pierce at 422 (166-256), followed by Alex Moon with 407 (226-181). Next was Alex Williams 380 (201-179) and David Allen 363 (193-170). Paul LaFollette had 180 in the second game and Robert Spain got 166 in the first game. Ben Logan won three of the four Baker games and had 839 pins to Bellefontaine’s 787.
For the junior varsity, Eli Stone 414 (180-235), Colton Wisner 397 (200-197) and Jaelin Saxton 293 (155-138) led Bellefontaine. For the Raiders, scores were Colton Klopfenstein 380 (223-157) Pierce Jenkins 165 game and Jace Lyons 142 game.

In the girls’ match, Bellefontaine emerged with a win, 2,725 to 2,490. Gracie Hood led the Lady Chiefs with a 466 (219-247), Also cracking 400 were Nevaeh LaFollette 410 (195-215) and Chloe Heminger 405 (216-189). They were helped by Haylee Yelton 360 (189-171) and Avery Mullins 272 (137-135).
For the Lady Raiders, Hunter McColloch had 399 (199-200), with Aubrey Zedlitz at 379 (217-162). Rounding things out were Kaelyn Corwin 375 (151-224), Maddy Hamm 334 (172-162) and Lorali Klopfenstein 317 (169-148).
Bellefontaine set a record for a Baker game with 258 in the fourth game, beating the previous record by one pin. They won three out of four, with an 812 total to Ben Logan’s 686.
Bellefontaine won the JV contest 1,957 to 1,597. For the JV Chieftains, Isabelle Gunnett had 358 (182-176), Kinzie Bernard 329 (157-172) and Addison Prosser 275 (144-131) led the way. For Ben Logan, top scores were Gi Saunders 282 (150-132), Jacey Koehler 251 (132-119) and Kaydon Wilber 228 (110-118). Bellefontaine hosts Jonathan Alder on Friday. Ben Logan’s boys will take part in the Raider Holiday Classic at T-P Lanes Saturday. The Raiders girls face Fort Loramie on Dec. 27.

GIRLS BASKETBALL
Indian Lake gets win
Indian Lake defeated Shawnee 50-40 in CBC play. Carly Strayer led the Lakers with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Kennedy Swaderer also had 20 points, along with five steals and three assists. Courtney Altstaetter had six points and 11 boards. Alivia Kinney had Mackenzie Dixon chipped in two points apiece. Each side had eight in the first. Indian Lake built and maintained a lead, holding Shawnee to six in the fourth. There was no junior varsity game. Indian Lake is now 3-0 in the CBC and 5-3 overall. They will host North Union on Saturday. JV play begins at 3 p.m.
Triad falls at home
Triad lost to Madison Plains 60-22 at home in a Ohio Heritage Conference contest. Abbey Overfield had eight points and Gracie Martin had six. Bre Parsons grabbed five rebounds. The Cardinals’ best period was the first, with 10 points. Triad (1-5 OHC, 2-8 overall) will visit Cedarville on Saturday. Game time is 12:30 p.m.
