The Benjamin Logan High School robotics team participated in the First Tech Challenge Ohio State Championship Saturday, March 11, at Hobart Arena in Troy. The team includes juniors Claire Rhodes and Addison Murphy, sophomores Matt Cox, Kameron Lockwood, and Lily Rudolph, and freshmen Annika Chappell, Wyatt LeVan, Elliot Carpenter, Finch Hone, and Taavo Simovart. For this year’s energy-themed game, the team had to design a robot that could place cones onto different height junction poles. This is the team’s first appearance at the state tournament since 2015. This event ends the season for the FTC team, but the BLHS Robotics Club is still busy preparing for the National Robotics Challenge in April. They also welcome eighth-graders to the high school during May to introduce the soon-to-be-freshmen to the robotics opportunities. (Benjamin Logan Photo)
