Polly (Young) Hiltibran, 82, passed away peacefully at home in Moody, Alabama, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in 1941 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, Polly grew up and spent most of her life in the area. She graduated from Zanesfield Monroe High School and later pursued a career as a beautician, brightening the lives of many with her care and friendship.
Polly was a devoted Christian, active in her church communities, and steadfast in her faith. She was a talented, award-winning quilter whose beautiful creations brought joy to many. Polly also enjoyed gardening and flowers. Known for her sense of humor and love for games and puzzles, Polly cherished time spent creating happy memories with her family and friends.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Todd (Kristi) Hiltibran and Wendy (Dan) Baker; her grandchildren, Matthew (Mitch Rodriguez) Hiltibran, Madison Calloway, Timothy (Christel) Hiltibran, Daniel (Tina) Baker, Bethany Hiltibran, Riley (Jeremiah) Allen, Kathryn Hiltibran, Nathan Hiltibran, and John Hiltibran; and her great-grandchildren, Turner White, Gage Calloway, Sadie Allen, Rose Hiltibran, Chase Baker, Miles Hiltibran, and Parker Allen. Polly also leaves behind her dear sisters, Martha Rutherford, Patsy (Paul) O’Neil, and Sally Robinson, along with a large, loving family of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hiltibran; her parents, Nelle (Anderson) and Milo Young; and her sister, Colleen Schroeder.
A celebration of Polly’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, at Usrey Funeral Home in Pell City, Alabama.
