The Logan County Health District, in partnership with Recovery Zone Bellefontaine and Logan County C.O.R.E, is “Planting the Seed to End the Stigma” in a special event later this month.
An Overdose Awareness Day is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, at Recovery Zone Bellefontaine, 440 St. Paris St., Bellefontaine.
Registration is requested by Friday, Aug. 11, via a link on the Logan County Health District’s Facebook page.
The Logan County Health District, Recovery Zone Bellefontaine and Logan County C.O.R.E. invite area residents to join in the remembrance of those lost due to overdose and help end the stigma associated with this tragedy.
There will be live entertainment, a kid zone with crafts and a photo booth, hot dogs, chips and drinks, and overdose prevention grab bags.
The evening also includes a tree dedication to memorialize those lost due to overdose and plant the seed of awareness to end the stigma for generations to come.
All are invited to participate and share personal stories about their experiences surrounding overdose. To end the night, there will be a candlelight remembrance ceremony.
