Riverside Elementary students, from the left, Bella Monnin, Everly Sine, Akyla Roby, Lilly Brown, Ben Doseck and Jacob Wren, were honored this week as some of the grand prize winners of the Pirate Summer Reading Challenge by Elementary Principal Bryce Hodge, pictured at the far right. Students were challenged to read 30 books or 20 hours over the summer to qualify for a grand prize. A total of 30 students in grades PK-6 participated in the event. The grand prize winners received one of the following prizes: A Riverside Pirates signed football, four passes to all Riverside home football games, two sets of four tickets to a Dragon’s baseball game, four tickets to the Cincinnati Zoo, and two tickets to COSI.
