Phillip Eugene Bailey, Sr., 79, of Bellefontaine, passed away Friday January 10, 2025, at Mary Rutan Hospital.
He was born June 22, 1945, in Bellefontaine, the son of the late George L. and Mildred (Couchman) Bailey. Phillip retired from Dairy Farming as well as Midwest Express and was also a Veteran of the US Army.
Survivors include his wife Judy “Kathy” (Pope) Bailey; children, Phillip Bailey Jr., Bill Bailey, Dixie (Brian) Castle, Erika (Michael) Luth, Krista Cooley, Quinton (Bobbie) Cooley; brother Frank Bailey; grandchildren, Reide and Hayden Bailey, Noah and Sidney Bailey, Layne and Jesse Castle, Michaela (Jordan) Boughman, M.J. (Samantha) Baker, Evan Baker, Azha Shoots, Dylan and Bradley Cooley; great grandchildren Demitris Hurt Jr., Sophia and Miles Baker. In addition to his parents Phillip was preceded in death by his first wife Reba, his siblings Raymond Bailey, Shirley McDonald, Alice Riffe and Robert Bailey.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday January 17, at Jennings Farley & Seeley / Highland Memorial Cemetery. (Due to in limate weather the actual service will take place inside the funeral home)
Casual dress is requested by the family.
