Philip Edward Kibler, 90, of Urbana, Ohio passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024, in Urbana Place.
Philip was born on June 17, 1934, in Urbana, Ohio to the late Clarence “Joseph” and Kathryn “Kay” (Cooper) Kibler.
Following his graduation from Urbana High School, Philip would go on to dutifully serve his country in the United States Navy. In his free time, Philip was a dedicated member of the Harmony Lodge #8 F.& A.M., where he proudly held the title of 32nd Degree.
In addition to his Masonic involvement, Philip was an avid bowler. He spent countless hours on the lanes, enjoying friendly competition and camaraderie with fellow bowlers. A simple man at heart, Philip lived his life with humility and kindness, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Philip is survived by his nephew, Richard “Rick” (Lori) Kauffman and niece, Kelli Gabriel.
Philip is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Virginia Kauffman.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Thursday, October 24, in Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana, Ohio.
Masonic services will be at noon in the funeral home. Funeral service will follow with Pastor Aaron Samples officiating.
Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
