Peggy L. Miller, 85 of Bellefontaine passed away peacefully Thursday, February 9, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Peggy was born June 3, 1937 in Springfield, OH to the late Lewis John Frederick and Jane Elizabeth (Osborn) Kreakbaum. Peggy’s mom Jane passed away when she was five years old. Later in childhood she was raised by her loving step mother Kay (LaVerne) Zell. On November, 12, 1960, in Pickrelltown, OH she married the love of her life Charles A. Miller, who survives.

Peggy graduated from Bellefontaine High School, class of 1955. She was a member of Goshen Friends Church for many years. She was also a member of The Eastern Star. Peggy worked at Logan County Bank, Bank Ohio and retired from Citizens Federal. Over the years she made many special friends at Citizens Federal, whom she cared for deeply. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her loving grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to hundreds of her grandchildren’s sporting events, going to the county and state fairs, tractor pulls, visiting and shopping in Amish country and Shipshewana, IN and she was always up for a great adventure. She was a great seamstress and an amazing cook. She will be remembered by many as a kind and caring women who loved people. Peggy was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Peggy is survived by her loving husband of 63 years of marriage, Charles A. “Jim” Miller; daughter, Terri (Mark) Penhorwood; son-in-law, Mark (Joan) Henry; grandchildren, Joshua Penhorwood, Jerrod (Emily) Henry, Lindsey (Parker) Robison, Jordan (Lindsey) Penhorwood, Joel (Katie) Penhorwood; great grandchildren, Peyton and Brooke Henry, Hayes and Hadley Robison, Cael, Lexi and Maverick Penhorwood; many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Peggy is preceded in death by her daughter, Kim Henry; parents; siblings, Connie (Homer) Adams, Jim (Annie) Riley Sr., John (Rita) Kreakbaum.

A Funeral Service will be officiated by Pastor Wayne Downing Wednesday, February 15, at 11 a.m. at Goshen Friends Church, 5527 County Road 153, Zanesfield, OH 43360. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 14, at Goshen Friends Church from 4 to 7 p.m. and again on the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will take place in Middleburg Cemetery following the service.
