Pair lodged on burglary, drug charges

Seth J. Hall, 39, of Marysville, was charged with burglary, and Mary E. Bond, 41, of Hilliard, was charged with possession of drugs and assault relating to an incident at a Middleburg address early Monday morning, Jan. 29.

Deputies of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office responded about 4 a.m. to a Columbus Street residence in reference to a domestic complaint.

Deputies spoke with the resident of the home, who reported that Hall and Bond came to her residence unannounced earlier that night. She permitted them to come inside and she said the pair began drinking alcohol and also using mushrooms.

Hall had fallen asleep, and the resident said Bond began making accusations of her and then physically attacked her, tackling her to the ground.

She said Hall and Bond then started physically attacking each other, and damaging items in her residence. So the resident said she began yelling at the pair to leave her home for 20-30 minutes. During the altercation, she was able to shut the defendants outside her residence, but Hall reportedly began pounding on her door until he finally broke it in.

The resident said she feared for her safety, so she grabbed a firearm she had for self-defense and pointed it at Hall and also called the sheriff’s office.

While at the residence, deputies located a baggie containing psilocybin mushrooms, which they were informed belonged to Bond. Deputies also photographed damage inside the residence The defendants were each placed under arrest and transported to the Logan County Jail.

No injuries reported in Amish buggy, car crash

Aubrey N. Jackson, 20, of Lewistown, was cited for right of way from a public place relating to a non-injury crash Monday involving her car and an Amish buggy.

Deputies report Jackson was operating a 2018 Honda Accord about 7:20 a.m. and attempted to turn left onto State Route 235 from a driveway at 3540 S.R. 235.

Her car struck a northbound buggy on S.R. 235 operated by Marie M. Schwartz, 28, of DeGraff. There were four juvenile passengers and an adult passenger in the buggy.

Damage was moderate to the car and light to the buggy.
