Olin Broy Sutphin, Jr., 82, passed away Wednesday, January 3, 2024, in Green Hills Care Center, West Liberty.

He was born in Middleburg, Ohio on September 15, 1941, the son of the late Olin Broy and Lorene (Riley) Sutphin.

He is survived by close friends, Pastor David and Joann Hernandez of Bellefontaine.

Olin worked as a mail carrier for the U.S.P.S. for 23 years. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Union Chapel Community Church, West Liberty. He also belonged to the V.F.W. Frank D. Castle Post #1080 and the American Legion Post #173, both in Bellefontaine. He was a fan of Bob Huggins, former University of Cincinnati and West Virginia head basketball coach, and had the opportunity to meet and greet Coach Huggins several years ago in West Virginia.

There will be a celebration of life service from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 13, in Foundation Hall of Green Hills Community, 6557 U.S. 68 South, West Liberty, Ohio 43357.

Memorial contributions may be made to Union Chapel Community Church, 9490 Co Rd 41, West Liberty, OH 43357.
