Norman E. “Coop” Cooper, 65 of Bellefontaine passed away Friday, September 6, 2024 at the James Cancer Hospital with his loving wife by his side.
Norm was born January 4, 1959 in Bellefontaine to the late Richard and Mary (Wilcox) Cooper. On December 31, 1987 in Bellefontaine he married Tammy Campbell, who survives.
Coop was a graduate of Indian Lake High School, class of 1977. Starting as a teenager he worked at Anderson Ford in the parts department for 25 + years. He later worked at the Honda service center and Penske vehicle services. Coop was a loving and caring friend who spent hours reminiscing about past times together. He really enjoyed golfing with his good friend of 50 years, Mark Neeley.
Being a farm boy, he was always outside digging in the dirt, mowing and planting his special garlic. Coop loved music and playing his guitars. He also loved traveling with his wife Tammy, their trips to Topsail Island and weekend getaways antiquing. Coop loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews who were extremely important to him. He will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege to get to know him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 plus years, Tammy Cooper; son, William Trey (Ashley) Watt; grandchild, Eden Watt; brothers, Donald (Susan) Cooper and Steven (Karen Moon) Cooper; numerous loving nieces and nephews; and many other loving family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerry Cooper; sister, Barbara Wannemacher.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, September 13, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Jennings Farley & Seeley Funeral Home, 5591 US Hwy 68 S., West Liberty, OH 43357. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
